Write mode
- —Hold fn 1, or say “write mode” first, and speak what you want rather than the words themselves. MemoFlow writes it and inserts the result.
- —The writing is shaped for the app you are in: an email gets a greeting and a sign-off, a chat message stays short, a note comes out as markdown.
- —Select a paragraph first and the instruction rewrites it in place.
- —Sign-offs use a name you set once, and write mode can use your cloud model or stay on-device.
Block time by voice
- —Say “block 3 to 5 tomorrow for deep work” and it goes on your calendar instead of being typed.
- —The confirmation names what was created and offers an Undo.
- —The common phrasings are understood with no model and no network, so this works offline.
A calendar you can drag on
- —Day and week are now a real time grid, with a line at the current time and overlapping events side by side.
- —Drag across empty space to block out exactly the hours you want.
- —Events open in a card beside the block rather than a window over it, with colours you can set per block.
Extractors are now Dynamic Flows
- —A library of your own Flows, with the generated result up front instead of the prompt.
- —A Flow can run itself after every meeting, or only after meetings carrying a tag you choose.
- —Every earlier result is kept and can be reopened.
Settings and permissions
- —Settings is now seven tabs instead of one long scroll, so related settings sit together.
- —A Permissions tab lists everything MemoFlow asks for, what each is for, and what stops working without it.
- —Transcription engines sit beside the model that has to be downloaded for them.
Fixes
- —Calendar access can finally be granted. The app carried the entitlement but was missing the description macOS needs before it will show the permission prompt.
- —Fixed a crash on first launch for new installs, caused by a database migration that referenced a column added by a later one.
- —Dictation now says whether it is transcribing or polishing, and no longer leaves the hands-free notice on screen while it works.

- —The signed app now includes the macOS Calendar entitlement, so Connect can request full access and load Google, Outlook and iCloud calendars from your Mac.

Your day, in one calendar
- —Calendar opens on Today with every meeting and reminder in one schedule. Switch to day, week, month or agenda whenever you need a wider view.
- —Filter the view to the calendars you want and search meetings from the same screen.
- —The separate Reminders tab is gone. Meeting reminders now live where they belong: alongside the meeting in Calendar.
Google, Outlook and iCloud
- —MemoFlow shows calendars already connected to Calendar on this Mac, including Google, Outlook and iCloud accounts.
- —Create a meeting on the calendar account you choose and it syncs through that provider to your other devices.
- —Calendar access remains local through macOS; MemoFlow does not need your Google or Microsoft password.
Create, edit and delete meetings
- —Add a meeting or reminder with its title, time, all-day setting, calendar, location, meeting link, alert and notes.
- —Edit those details later or delete the event from MemoFlow.
- —For a recurring meeting, changes and deletion apply to the selected occurrence.
Recordings link themselves
- —Start recording from a calendar event, its detail view or its meeting-time notification and the new recording is linked to that exact event immediately.
- —Start recording another way and MemoFlow automatically matches the closest active calendar meeting and uses its title.
- —Open the meeting later to jump directly to its saved notes, summary or transcript.
Meeting-time notifications
- —MemoFlow can send a Mac notification when a meeting starts, with a Start Recording action built in.
- —Choose the reminder while creating or editing the event; recurring reminders are scheduled from the Calendar view.
- —Linked recordings, transcripts and notes remain in MemoFlow if the original calendar event is deleted.

Trial and licence
- —Everything is free for 7 days from the first launch of this version. After that, recording, dictation, transcription and Ask need a licence key; everything already recorded stays readable and exportable.
- —One-time licence, never a subscription: Personal $20 (one Mac and one iPhone), Team $40 (three people), Organisation $300 (up to twenty). Keys are issued by Dodo Payments at checkout and entered in Settings › License.
- —The app re-checks the key on launch and daily; a refunded or disabled key locks at the next launch. Deactivate this Mac from Settings to move the key to another.
Onboarding, redesigned
- —Four screens in their own window instead of six inside the main window.
- —All permissions on one screen — Microphone, Accessibility and System Audio — with status that updates the moment you grant them, and a Relaunch button when macOS needs one for system audio.
- —The System Audio request now actually registers MemoFlow in System Settings; before, the pane opened with no MemoFlow row to switch on.
- —Model downloads show real progress and each phase — downloading, optimizing, ready — in onboarding and in Settings.
- —Shortcuts are learned by doing: hold fn to dictate, double-tap fn to lock hands-free, fn ⇥ to start a meeting, rehearsed live. New installs get these defaults; existing shortcuts are unchanged.
Parakeet v3
- —A second local engine: English plus 25 European languages and Japanese, around 180× faster than real time, with nothing to optimize after the download. Recommended by default on English-first Macs; Hindi and Hinglish stay with the Apex model.
- —Parakeet-TDT 0.6B v3 is by NVIDIA (CC BY 4.0), run through FluidAudio’s Core ML conversion.
Updates
- —A new version shows in the sidebar and the menu bar with an Install button, and once as a popup.
- —A version that has to be retired asks you to update before continuing; nothing already recorded is affected.
Fixes
- —fn+Tab as a shortcut no longer hijacks the plain Tab key system-wide.
- —Deleting a model updates the card immediately, and a delete no longer triggers a re-download.
- —The Parakeet download shows a progress bar rather than sitting on “Loading…”.
- —The meeting-recording shortcut re-arms itself when the Accessibility permission is granted.

Dashboard
- —MemoFlow opens on a summary of what it has captured — words dictated and transcribed, meetings recorded, action items extracted, when you dictate, and activity over time.
Recording keeps going when your mic does not
- —Unplug a headset mid-meeting and the recording moves to another input instead of ending.
- —Set a preferred order of microphones, so it falls back the way you want rather than to whatever macOS picks.
- —A warning when your microphone is clipping — clipped audio silently transcribes to nothing.
- —A short tone when recording starts and stops, often the only confirmation you get when dictating into another app.
Dictation modes you define
- —Per-app and per-site modes, each with their own engine, prompt and style rules.
- —Say a mode’s trigger phrase to switch on the fly.
- —Auto-send: have Return pressed for you after insertion, per mode.

Transcription and reliability fixes
- —The Hinglish model’s confidence gates are genuinely disabled now — they were gated behind a flag that was never set.
- —The start tone no longer lands at the head of the dictation buffer, where it made the model return nothing.
- —“nan” no longer appears in transcripts.
- —A retention policy that deletes old meeting audio on a schedule while keeping transcripts and summaries.
